making a mountain out of a mole hill

clerk(via email 9:14):
subject: safety hazard- mud in parking lot
good morning
it has been reported that there is a truck outside in the parking lot
that brought mud into the parking lot. can the person using this truck
please clean up the mud to prevent a safety hazard?
Please remember safety is our #1 priority.
**followed by graphic showing someone tripping

Supervisor(via email 9:18am) :
subject : re: safety hazard mud in parking lot
we are taking care of it now.

---several employees and shovels called to parking lot to shovel the
mud( it is raining)

supervisor (via email 10:40)
re:re safety hazard- mud in parking lot

the area ha been cleaned with a shovel but it still remains a slipping
hazard. cones have been placed to delineate the area. we are working
on getting a hose that will be long enough to spray off the area.

**rain continues

employee(via email12:24)----
we need to use some caution in washing the area so that we don't
deliberately discharge large volumes of mud to a storm drain system.
this can result in negative consequence with the agency. probably best
to use a large street broom and continue to shovel until most of the
solids are taken up.

WTF

supervisor asks employee to make sign and laminate to place on stake
and place In cone to provide information regarding the cones off area.

FYI -still raining in fact pouring is the word. It is most 2 pm and
the hose hasn't arrived. I hope no one slips while trying to hose of
pavement on rain.

doesn't anyone have something better to do?!?!??
